Edge Compact proves great fit for paper film

Purpak’s Edge Compact has been installed to support a major UK retailer that is making strides to significantly reduce their plastic packaging.

The PurPak solution was a natural fit for the customer whose existing equipment from another manufacturer was unable to run this material. PurPak’s experience and understanding of the customer’s needs ensured they received a best-fit solution that integrated seamlessly into their existing production line.

The adjustable sealing pressure and temperature controls on the PurPak Edge range have proven to be ideal for paper films, which have smaller tolerance than other films like polyethene (PE) and so the customer’s machine required no customization to accommodate this innovative paper film – it worked right out the box.

The customer, who is now able to pack vegetables in 100% plastic-free and fully recyclable 100% paper bags, is of course also benefitting from PurPak’s built in industry 4.0 technology to increase their production OEE.
